keep calm.

i've seen this poster all over lately... in all my pop culture fascinaction, i needed to know where it came from and why the sudden popularity.


and so, my friends, here's a little history lesson:

the british government created it in 1939 {wwii time} with the hopes they'd never have to use it. it was a last ditch effort to motivate their people if the nazis invaded.

it was discovered in 2000 in a 2nd hand bookstore and quickly hit mass popularity. the copyright for the crown logo expired and was released to public domain.

vendors and sassy artists all over the world have every right to take it and runnnnnnn...

and run they have.
