A little peak of the unedited photos from my shoot with Bryce Stroud.

At 6am last Sunday I hurled ass out of bed for my much awaited shoot with Bryce Stroud and his lovely assistant Katie. 

The shoot was black and white, vintage inspired and shot mostly with a film camera. 

I had an absolute ball breaking into a back yard, climbing a fence, getting changed with the lovely Katie holding my over-sized vintage jacket as a shield from the West End morning people. First of all, I had no fucking idea that people were awake that early on a Sunday. They deserve a massive shiny medal. Just sayin. 

Bryce was simply amazing. Polite, visionary, creative and bloody talented. The shoot was mostly on film (my first ever film shoot yay!!) but he was lovely enough to shoot me through the unedited photos that he took on his digital.

Festival season is almost upon us.

I am excited as fuck ever to get back into it this year. The festival season is like endless, joy-filled playdates at lots of different playgrounds for adults. Replace summer babydoll dresses with barely legal skanky revealing little outfits. Trade the monkey bars and swings for coked out DJs, dancing idiots (myself included) partying like its their last day on earth and shirtless boys. Finally, chuck out the egg sandwiches for cigarettes, every kind of alcohol under the sun, hot dogs, cupcakes and god knows what else.....

I love the atmosphere to bits.

WHAT TO WEAR??

I have already decided on two festivals that I will definitely have to go too...

STEREOSONIC - The lineup is amazeballs, more amazing artists/DJ's than you can poke a stick at, its also in December so the weather will be awesome. Sooooooooooo excited!!!!!

WINTERBEATS - Ok... so I am a little ghetto and I feel i just might be Lil Kim's long lost sister and 50's future baby mamas sisters cousin.... or something like that. So don't hate =)

Friday nights with my favorite partner in crime.

For too many years to count, my naughty little friend Cassandra and I have been bad influences on each other at the best of times.  She is the friend you count on to get wasted with on the weekends, but still call her when your having a meltdown. Most people say we shouldn't be friends because we always end up reeking havoc when we are together, but that is precisely why I will love her forever.

This Friday night (like almost every Friday night) we had our usual dinner and wine date followed by some dancing. We went to an amazing Italian restaurant in the city called 'Pan E Vino's' and we both had the 'Pesto E Pollo' (above) and a bottle of pink moscato.

I was dressed in my vintage floral cape, my high waisted mid calf pink vintage skirt and my $5 clogs. 

Today's activities.

As per usual, I was craving cake. Since my latest baking efforts have been doing a little damage to my but & thighs I decided to look for a healthier alternative to my usual binge eating. 

I made a cake with 5 whole apples in it and since I was being so good I made cream cheese icing (also from scratch, may I add) to make it a little tastier.

THE RECIPE

5 Apples,

4 Eggs,

1 1/4 cups of self raising flour

2 Table spoons of melted butter

3/4 Sugar

Icing 

Icing sugar (clearly)

Fresh lemon ( i used half of one, but there was a lot)

Vanilla escence

Butter

- All add to taste

WALLLAAAAAAAAAA

I found black lipstick at a cheap store, which is what I have been wanting FOREVERRRR

I also picked up this light purple vest/top thingy & this big gold gangsta chain on my vintage shopping adventure today, that I will wear to this 'Project Moda Launch Party' fashion event that I am going to tonight, which should be fun. 

I am pretty much in love with my vest. That is all.

Down to West End last night for a chicken Gyros.

Last night I had yet another date with my friend Kathi, this time we ate Gyros instead of going to our usual restaurant 3 monkeys. 

I wore a red leotard from American Apparel, some vintage shorts, tights & little bootie wedges from Rubi.

Later on I met my little sister for a Bax Brenner fix. I was relatively good.

Bright Be Bold.

Bright colours definitely be the shizz this year and I cant wait.

After black, grey, denim and leather have been all the craze for a while it is refreshing to swap my safe black clothes for clothes that are a little more crazy. It seems everything in fashion including interior design, shoes, makeup and sunglasses are all making the swap to outrageous.
