Front Page
So Today I finally "acquired" a copy and gave it a shot. Well I have to say that Front Page is a website building for dummies and is perfect for me. It's pretty much set up like most of the MS programs. I only had an hour or so to play with it but I already built most of my main page, with Dreamweaver it had taken me weeks. So I'm off to a good start. So it will still take me a while to get everything transferred but at least I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks Christopher for the heads up.
addicted to flying. and babies.
and, surprise, surprise... visit this place, too!
march 2
she's a transplant from rexburg, so naturally, she's going to be great. plus, she's an interior designer, so she got the pink bathroom thing. wasn't scared at all.
this is fantastic news. for me. and for my mortgage.
the cupcake tour.
not sure what sparked it, but we took ourselves on a cupcake tour through the valley. this isn't the first time we've done it... and definitely not the last. but it absolutely confirmed to me that so cupcake is the best cupcake joint in the slc.
top - to - bottom, left - to - right:
key lime - raspberry lemon - another key lime {our fav}
vanilla {other fav} - coconut choc - red velvet with cream cheese
lemon - red velvet with buttercream - mud pie
chocolate chocolate - carrot cake - vanilla with chocolate
we tried diva's cupcakes and coffee too. not so good. the frosting tastes like creamed butter and sugar - ya know... like when you're making cookies... not good.
a couple weeks ago i hit up mini's again. still sticking to my first impression - breakfast at tiffany's is it's only worthwhile cupcake. amazing buttercream... but nothing too stellar. bizarre location, so much potential... but they just need a little aubry magic.
oh... and if you google map "cupcakes near salt lake city", it'll offer you an address for ABCupcakes. DON'T go there. we tried. and this is what we found:
seriously. this is where cupcakes are made.
a SA-WEEEET store.
every single time!
which comes with 250 of these ka-yoot things:
and this:
ooh, and these:
and i can't leave out all of theeeeeese:
and a million {seriously} other things like iron-on transfers , home-made greeting card kits, and my long time favorite book - listography {your life in lists}.
i could go on and on. the wishlist is a mile long. so, for anyone out there who's stumped as to what to get me *cough* lara* {put $20 in an envelope last year for my birthday and said i was too hard to shop for} cough*... here's your store. i would like one of everything, pretty please.
Dear Blogger dot com
The old one was just fine, discreet even, and this new one is hideous, clumsy and doesn't go with the blogger look at all.
Please, please fix this.

Backpiece day at Conspiracy Inc.
As you can see, a large part is still not done, but she's pretty tough, so hopefully this piece will be finished in July.
And after her came Morten, who don't technically have a backpiece, more like a large back tattoo, but who cares!
This time they finished all the black, so with the help of some painkillers and Baldrian pills, the next session will hopefully be his last.
Up next, his arms.
More amazing wizards (dragon edition)
It looks like he's about to pitch all the magic onto his hand that's holding the orb, whereupon it will smash into one million pieces and doom the dragon to an eternity underground without his friends or family.
This dude is NOT HAPPY about the dragon's fiery flames. Not one bit.
Since when are wizards 100x bigger than dragons? I like the lightning bolts though.
"Alright, I want a dungeon. A deep, dark, scary dungeon, with a DRAGON and a huge SPIDER, and a lizard, and cobwebs, and an EVIL PLOTTING WIZARD with another dragon on his shoulder, and a CUTE BLUEBIRD and a HEART with a banner with my girlfriend's name on it and a bunch of FLAMES on the other side and some smoke all around everything. Okay?"

beauty bash.
BUT... we've seen a much larger, prettier, glitzier, building slowly make its way up up up right next door. a couple months ago, they hung a banner that made my heart sing.
and so... march 6 will be my first vacation day of the year. really. beginning with the beauty bash event at 7 am... followed by a complete devouring of the shoe department and the cardigans at brass plum.
this morning, while riding up in the elevator with some co workers, i was talking with my friend dave about carpool next week. it's my week to drive. our convo went a little like this:
dave: "carpool next week? you?"
aubry: "yep, my week. i'm on it. i'm taking friday off, so i'll drive thursday instead."
dave: "sounds good."
evelvator stops. more people get on.
dave: "so what's next friday? i mean, why the day off?"
pause. gathering strength. prepare for the forthcoming ridicule.
aubry: "grand opening of nordstrom. beauty bash event and a day of fun for jen's birthday."
elevator doors open. it's my floor.
dave: "seriously? you're taking a day off to go to the mall?"
(while walking down the hallway, as the elevator doors are closing...) aubry: "it's not just the mall. it's NORDSTROM"
